AWARD ON SOCIAL MEDIA USE IN FORMAL LANGUAGE TEACHING CONTEXTS. The European network Language Learning and Social Media – 6 Key Dialogues kindly invites language teachers to participate in this competition which aims to identify the good practice in social media use in language learning throughout Europe. PROJECT OF THE MONTH. E-ruralnet addresses e-learning as a means of enhancing lifelong learning opportunities in rural areas, with the emphasis on SMEs, micro-enterprises, self-employed and persons seeking employment. ICT FOR LEARNING, CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION IN LIFELONG LEARNING. The Information Society (IS) Unit has a vacancy for a post-doctoral researcher to work on a “Socio-economic Analysis of ICT for Learning and Inclusion” Action. This action is currently carrying out research to support European policies that aim to develop and adop ICT for learning and creativity, cultural diversity, socio-economic inclusion of migrants and marginalized youth, youth at risk of exclusion and to support long term care of elderly people. INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ELIG SURVEY ON OPEN EDUCATION. The research comprises of a survey followed up with a series of in-depth interviews, with some survey participants, that will together provide robust input to a report to key policy formulators both within the EU and national governments across Europe. The report will also provide the learning industry itself with some key indicators for how the market might respond to the growing importance of open education practices and open educational resources. Survey on Initial Teacher Education Programmes in Mathematics and ScienceData from more than 2500 different initial teacher education programmes in these fields will be collected via the online survey. 22 linguistic versions were prepared taking into consideration the country’s specific terms and interpretations.
