EducationGuardian are pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new event for the education calendar.

The Innovation Unit, in partnership with The Guardian, is to host a major national conference exploring the transformations needed to create a system fit for genuine 21st century learning.

Innovation in Education, happening on 9 November 2009, sets out to explore how and why innovation is imperative to the creation of a genuine 21st century education.

Looking at the challenges we face as an economy, the inadequacy of existing models and how innovation is a necessity and no longer just an option, this event is an essential forum for anyone involved in shaping education.
