There is so much to that could be said about such findings – but essentially this goes beyond gender differences to the very heart of educating and what an effective education is. Schools and schooling have a hugely distorting and damaging impact on learning, on families, society and young people. The sooner the outrage and concern is directed at these issues, the sooner both sexes will be fortunate enough to experience a real education.
