Army Cadet Corps for Schools?

The UK prime minister Gordon Brown and Mick Brookes (general Secretary of the National Association of Headteachers) both appear to believe army cadet corps could assist social cohesion and school discipline. Rather than these desperate measures they might perhaps put more energy into the real transformation of our learning and learning systems. What our youngsters need is more control over their own lives and learning. How much longer will same tired and outdated solutions be offered?
