Pott Shrigley Primary is now offering flexischooling

Taken from website information
Here at Pott Shrigley we aim to provide a personal learning journey for all our children, whether they attend full time or on a flexible arrangement. Our very small
class sizes mean that every child is treated as an individual and we are able to provide a flexible, bespoke and supportive approach to ensure that your child’s
needs are met. Coming into our school is like walking into a welcoming home.
We are very proud of our school and care, respect and responsibility underpins all our work, making our school a happy, safe and fun place to be. Our exciting
curriculum is full of rich experiences that are well matched to the needs and interests of all learners. How this might be seen in practice is captured by our agreed pupil
promise below. As well as academic expectations, we believe that all our pupils should enjoy a range of experiences which challenge them and develop their self-confidence and abilities.
We propose to ensure that our children will have certain exceptional opportunities during their time as pupils of Pott Shrigley School. These
are some of the important additional experiences that we believe will support the children’s development. In no particular order, these are:
Visit a city
Have an opportunity to learn to play an instrument
Play and perform as part of an orchestra
Visit a theatre
Take part in residential visits
Visit a farm
Take part in climbing, abseiling, canoeing and other outdoor pursuits
Experience a major live sporting event
Sing in a choir before an audience
Play in an inter schools sports’ team
Take part in an enterprise project
Plant and grow vegetables
Have an opportunity to be a leader on a project
Be responsible for a fundraising project
Cook a range of meals
Visit a range of places of worship
Have an opportunity to act as a support or buddy to others
Meet and get to know people from other cultures or environments
Have an opportunity to contribute to social care (eg: visit nursing home)
Visit a major art gallery or sculpture park
