Gaming in Families survey
We recently commissioned Ipsos MORI to conduct two surveys looking at parents’ and children’s views on and experiences of gaming. The findings of this research will be used in the development of policy recommendations and a ‘Parental guidance on computer gaming handbook’ as part of the Gaming in Families research project.

BETT 2010
Futurelab will be showcasing a range of new and emerging technologies from 13 – 16 January at BETT 2010 – from those with alternative interfaces to Web 2.0 tools and computer games – and offering support for how they could be used in an educational setting. A number of free educational resources and publications to help practitioners interested in adopting innovative approaches to learning in their classroom will also be on display.

Call for Ideas
We had a very good response to our Call for Ideas, which is now closed. Thank you to all those who submitted ideas about new ways of learning with technology around the themes of ‘meaningful games’ and mobile games, the standard of entries was exceptionally high. More information about the shortlist will be available in our November newsletter.
