Volunteers and training officer
Carefree kids is a registered charity, working mainly in the east london borough of waltham forest, seeking to promote the emotional well-being of local children and their families. We have been carrying out individual child-led play therapy in primary schools and other therapeutic services since 2004 and are well-established in the area.
We now seek a full-time staff member (or two part-timers / job sharers) whose main task will be to recruit, train and supervise volunteers and counselling/therapy trainees to carry out play therapy.  The officer will work alongside and on an equal basis with our overall co-ordinator. This is a new post.
Other training opportunities (e.g. With parents/carers, school staff, teenagers) are possible according to skills and interests.
We are a small, expanding, independent, non-bureaucratic organisation, committed to providing affordable, flexible services; also therapeutic training for adults who do not otherwise have the opportunity. You will have a background in counselling or therapy, with experience of volunteering.
Salary: £30,000 a year (part-timers / job sharers pro rata). The post is funded for three years.

Please see details about our work and this post at www.carefreekids.org
