Futurelab – Conference: Challenging Learner Voice: are we really empowering learners?

Futurelab’s conference, this year entitled ‘Challenging Learner Voice: are we really empowering learners?’ will take place on 23 October at Warwick University Conference Park.

This one-day conference offers the opportunity to challenge existing notions and interpretations of what learner voice should actually mean in practice. It will consider the role of learner voice in personalised learning, look at some of the barriers, challenges and opportunities faced when giving learners a say in their education, and examine the potential offered by digital technologies to address them.

Speakers include Professor Michael Fielding, Institute of Education, University of London, Dr Nick Lee, Warwick institute of Education, University of Warwick, Audrey Osler, Centre for Citizenship and Human Rights Education, University of Leeds, David Gribble, International Democratic Education Network (IDEN), Chris Davies, Department of Education, University of Oxford and Professor Lynn Davies, Centre for International Education and Research (CIER), University of Birmingham.
