Following DIUS’s consultations on informal learning and the statutory right to request time off for training, where next for adult learning?  Jon Gamble, the LSC’s Director for Adults and Lifelong Learning, will offer an overview of the broad strategy and direction of adult learning. The JWT group: training or no training?, 11am – 1pm, 22 July 2008

Reducing 16-17 year olds in Jobs without Training is critical to boosting participation in education and training in general and under the statutory learning leaving age in particular. This event will examine the characteristics of the JWT group and assess the impact of Learning Agreements to assist 16-17 year in JWT to move into education and training.
